This tour apparently is amphibious, hence the landing craft being so useful for this sort of thing

Is that the same thing as a DUKW? I've been on one of those. Trivia point: they use two drivers, one who actually drives and one who is a licenced waterman and does the watery side of things.

Same idea basically, but LARC-V 's were designed in the '50s, and are still in use today.

Oooh, I've been on a Larc too. One of the ones that ply their (very slow) trade on Jökulsárlón.
